Summary of Innovation

OTTO 600 is the industry’s smallest midsize autonomous mobile robot (AMR) that automates material handling workflows in manufacturing facilities worldwide. Built on OTTO Motors’ 15 years of industry-leading robotics expertise and over 5 million production hours, OTTO 600 has the power to move material with payloads up to 600 kg at top-speeds of 2 m/s. At 710 mm wide, OTTO 600 holds the highest payload capacity with the smallest footprint in its class, enabling the nimble robot to provide the productivity benefits of a heavy-class AMR without compromising on agility in high-traffic areas and tight spaces. With a rugged, all-metal body, OTTO 600 is designed to deliver results in the most demanding of factory environments.

OTTO 600 quickly and safely maneuvers around people, obstacles, turns and existing facility equipment in the most space-constrained environments to deliver unmatched throughput. By combining safety-rated hardware, patented adaptive fieldset technology, and efficient path planning, OTTO 600 is able to achieve industry-leading average speed without compromising on safety. The AMR effortlessly integrates into existing green and brownfield facilities and with any factory tools or systems currently in place—such as existing ERP, WPS or MES systems—for the seamless coordination of workflows.

Innovation Statement

Prior to the launch of OTTO 600, the industry didn’t have an AMR that could move as high of a payload in as small of a footprint, resulting in customers struggling to meet their throughput targets. Capable of unlocking new workflows in the tightest areas of a facility, OTTO 600 delivers more materials in less time, resulting in a higher ROI for customers.

Applicability

OTTO 600 is nimble enough to drive in narrow aisles and can turn larger aisles into two-lane highways, allowing the AMR to get to its destination faster, resulting in higher throughput and lower costs for manufacturers.
