Grenzebach Automationfest and Anniversary with New Innovations to Power the Factories of Tomorrow

Celebrating 35 years of International expansion and US investments with cutting-edge technology sessions and state-of-the-art showroom demos

Newnan/USA. On October 5, 2023, Grenzebach hosted their biennial Automationfest with industry-leading manufacturers. This year marks the German-based company’s 35th anniversary in the U.S.: its first international expansion and main manufacturing and development location in Newnan, Georgia was founded in 1988. The US headquarters nearby Atlanta, Georgia houses approximately 110 employees and is one of five locations in the U.S.
“While Automationfest allows us to showcase the latest innovations, most importantly it convenes the brightest minds who are leading the next generation of manufacturing,” said John Fluker, President and CEO of Grenzebach Corporation. “We are a true Journey Partner to our clients – from the beginning, through the life of the products we engineer and manufacture to support their business, and beyond. To achieve this, we must advocate for highly skilled labor through public policy initiatives.”
There were approximately 260 customers, partners and colleagues in attendance at Automationfest. Notable attendees included Newnan`s Mayor Keith Brady, Coweta County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Candace Boothby, and many others.
Interactive Technology Sessions and Future-Facing Seminars
A full day of seminars covered topics such as how VR and AR affect the future of robotics and energy efficiency and integrated solutions in the float glass industry.
An exhibition hall featured 16 different booths from different companies and partners in the US, with live demonstrations of smart manufacturing solutions automated machinery and state-of-the-art robotics.
Additionally, John Fluker moderated a panel discussion on artificial intelligence powering the factories of tomorrow with presenters, Knudt Flor (SC State University College of Charleston), Sean Madhavaraman (Georgia Tech - Ai Program - GA-AIM) and Anna Kyriakidou (Grenzebach Hellas) the software development company part of the Grenzebach Group.
Key takeaways from this panel included:
