This seminar provides a real-life step-by-step analysis of the application of risk mitigation strategies to a palletizing cell. This scenario is applicable to many manufacturing and distribution scenarios where a palletizing or box packing robot needs to be safe. After defining the PLr, you will review two sensor arrangements, discuss the logic programming of the safety controller, and review multiple configurations for achieving Safe Torque Off (STO).
The seminar is presented by a certified electrical safety and functional safety expert with hands-on knowledge and experience in risk mitigation, implementation, and integration.
Some knowledge of functional safety terms and basic principles is assumed.
In this seminar, we will use a real-life palletizing example to:
- Define the PLr
- Review two alternatives for setting up sensors
- Discuss the logic programming
- Review multiple configurations for achieving Safe Torque Off (STO), including when built-in STO is not available
