The company operates 729 DICK'S Sporting Goods locations across the United States as well as a growing e-commerce presence. Using five distribution centers, DICK’S leverages a combination of software, hardware, people and processes to achieve best-in-class service for its network of stores and direct-to-consumer fulfillment. Most recently, DICK’s Sporting Goods expanded its distribution facility in Conklin, NY. With the expansion, the facility not only services 160 retail stores but also offers same-day shipping of many products for direct-to-consumer order fulfillment. To achieve true omni-channel status, the Conklin, NY, distribution center leverages a goods-to-person system, warehouse execution software and unique inbound and outbound processes to efficiently handle inventory.
